Good renovation electrical starts on paper. Before any walls are lined, we walk through the plans with you to work out where power, data, lighting and switches need to go, and what your switchboard needs to handle new appliances like induction cooktops and ovens.
Earthwire completed the electrical for a full apartment renovation in Toowong, from layout through rough-in and fit-off. The photos on this page are from that job: LED strip under the island bench, downlights throughout, backlit mirrors and lit shower niches.

When should I get an electrician involved in a renovation?
As early as possible, ideally while plans are still being finalised. Rough-in wiring has to happen before walls and ceilings are lined, and it's much cheaper to move a powerpoint on paper than after plastering.
Do you work with builders and other trades?
Yes. We regularly work alongside builders, cabinet makers and plumbers, and coordinate timing so the job keeps moving.
Will my switchboard handle a new kitchen?
Induction cooktops, ovens and extra circuits can push an older switchboard past its limit. We check capacity during planning and tell you early if an upgrade is needed.
Can you work on older Queenslanders?
Yes. Older homes often have aged wiring and tricky ceiling spaces. We check the existing wiring as part of the job and explain anything that should be replaced.
